(For a balanced program there should be at least 2 actions from each objective each year, but feel free to add other actions you feel fit each objective. These are just to get your creative juices flowing.)

Objective 6: Involve them in experiences of Christian community.

 

1.              Accomplished while enlisting and involving students in worship, education, evangelism, ministries, mission, and recreational activities in the churches and on the campus and in missions.

Promote involvement in dorm, class, and student govern­ment activities.

3.             
Encourage student-faculty relationships.

4.             
Try to help the students to have a better understand­ing of what a Christian community is.

5.             
Help them have a deep concern for other persons within the academic community.

6.             
Implement one purpose of the Baptist collegiate organization by drawing students into your organization and then motivate them to participate in campus clubs and organizations and make good grades.

7.             
Encourage participation in community services such as drives sponsored by Red Cross, Easter seals, etc. teaching swimming, helping in blood-drives.

8.     Encourage students to give to mission offerings in church such as Annie Armstrong Mission Offering, Lottie Moon Offering, and other mission offerings through their church.

9.              Get students involved in campus activities - ministries, e.g. dialogue, tutorials.

10.              Plan and conduct prayer meetings in dorms.

11.              Sponsor intramural teams.

12.              Organize and sponsor music groups.

13.              Attend social events in group - school athletic events, recitals particularly those involving a member of your group, movies, parks, cookouts, lock-ins.

Attend plays, book reviews, movies with discussion groups meeting afterward.

15.              Work out relationships with the college church families, adopt students.

16.              Informal discussion sessions with pastor of college church.

17.              Consider involvement in a Habitat for Humanity project as a group.
