Objective 8 Lead them to participate in


Christian
world missions.

 

1.            Encourage students to participate in summer missions by serving or with offering. (Have program on summer missions, projects to raise money, such asbake sales, car washes, spaghetti suppers)

2.        Organize and maintain mission points in cooperation with churches, such as jails and nursing homes.

3.        Plan and conduct campaign for personnel and funds for Baptist sponsored summer missions.

4.        Plan and conduct missionary education activities.

5.        Promote North American Mission Board summer missions program.

6.        Enlist students for summer service, e.g., youth workers for churches.

7.        Help students to realize that world missions means home missions, foreign missions, state missions, church missions, and then as individuals becoming missionaries in the world where they live individually or collectively.

8.        Try to get students to apply to work in camps and conferences during the summer.

9.        Help churches in securing church staff positions such as students and others, also pulpit supplies.

10.       Coordination between foreign summer missionaries and local churches for Annie Armstrong and Lottie Moon offerings and for programs on missions, etc.

11.       Have more missionaries speak on campuses.

12.   Encourage more emphasis on prayer for Foreign Missions.

13.      Keep the opportunities for short term missions before graduating seniors.

 

14.      Encourage the students to go frequently to the mission board sites specifically designed for students
