Moving and/or Copying Your Address Book |
| One of the more common problems I hear is that my hard drive crashed and I lost my
address book or I have gotten a new computer and I don't know how to get my address book
from my old computer to my new one. The steps for the solution are the same. The first step is to open your address book. Go to file, then export, click address book This will bring up a new "save in window. Select where you want to save a copy of your address book (I use my USB drive every time I make a change in my address book) and give it a name. Leave the type as *.wab and click save. You now have a back up copy of your address book. Have a new computer - Open the blank address book on the new computer. Go to file, then import, click address book This brings up a new window where you can choose the location where you stored your address book, click on it and click on open and your address book is imported to your new computer. |
